The Role:
The TAR Subcontractor Coordinator reports to the TAR Event Manager and is responsible for the execution of Critical Subcontracts (including but not limited to Field Machining, Torquing, Industrial Cleaning, and PWHT). Leads, directs and makes key decisions, in conjunction with the TAR Event Manager, in regard to the execution of all critical subcontract work under their purview. Work hours are flexible depending on the work load and phase of the TAR FEL. During execution, expect minimum 6 day x 10 hr (occasional support on Sunday's and Holidays) for a period of 45-50 days.
- Works with the Event Manager and BP scheduling lead on meeting requirements necessary to finalize the TAR critical path plan. Provides input into the development of the plan and schedule. Reviews and challenges the main mechanical contractors on their man-hour estimates and schedule activity sequence. Holds final decision on constructability disputes.
- Holds final decision (with the TAR event manager) on pre-TAR unit set-up of equipment, cranes, materials to support optimal execution strategy.
- Identifies resource needs (prior to and) during execution, holds final decision on the assignment of direct field labor resources with the contractor.
- Works with TAR Manager to secure necessary engineering resources to support critical path execution.
- During TAR execution participates in meetings and provides strategic advice to drive / support key management decisions.
