The Role:
Working closely alongside the Head of Marketing Communications, the Marketing Communications team and wider Commercial team, the Social & Content Manager will take day-to-day responsibility for social media and content marketing at my clients business. They will develop, implement and deliver a content marketing strategy, with a clear focus on social media, in collaboration with stakeholders and partner agencies. The Social & Content Manager requires significant experience of content marketing and social media (including, but not limited to online editorial planning, copywriting, SEO, analytics, social channel strategy, community management, listening and reporting) and how they integrate to meet brand, tactical and overall business objectives.

External factors: Develop relationships with stakeholders including agencies and suppliers; stay ahead of industry trends; understand the competitive forces in the markets that we operate; research, review and feedback on developments that will impact the overall marketing communications plan; react quickly and effectively to the changing social media landscape.

Internal factors: Take responsibility for identifying opportunities and developing the social media proposition so that it is best in class; build relationships with key stakeholders within the business and wider Group; help, motivate and inspire colleagues.

Accountabilities:
1. Create and develop the content marketing strategy, with a clear focus on social media channels, in collaboration with PR Manager and Digital Marketing Manager

2. Plan, establish and build our clients product online community, pre- and post-launch, in collaboration with the Digital Marketing Manager and IT

3. Define social media messaging, in collaboration with PR Manager and wider communications team, working together to build relationships with external influencers

4. Manage social media influencer and micro-influencer programmes

5. Implement robust social media reporting, feeding into wider marketing reports as required.

6. Coordinate and manage our clients social media agency suppliers, ensuring high level and consistent management of all social media channels, including organic and paid content.

7. Oversee social media insight (listening, analysis and reporting), ensuring feedback informs marketing strategy as well as wider commercial business intelligence (Retail, Product, etc).

8. Provide hands-on community management to social channels, including monitoring online conversation and responding as appropriate, including mentoring Marcomms Specialist

9. Develop social media governance, including developing staff guides, internal policies and training materials

10. Manage paid social spend, measuring effectiveness against pre-agreed KPIs for return on investment

11. Manage the content quality for external communication material through social media channels, ensuring consistency with other marketing communications and PR.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- 4+ years' content and social media marketing experience for a well-established consumer brand;
- e-commerce and automotive experience highly desirable but not essential.
- Experience managing budgets;
- Experience co-ordinating suppliers to successfully complete multiple projects;
- Hands-on community management and publishing experience.
- Up-to-date knowledge with the latest content marketing, social media and wider marketing trends and commercial best practice.
- Creative thinker and problem solver, with proactive 'can do' attitude.
- Commercial acumen and articulate with strong presentation skills.
- Professional management style.
- Prioritisation and goal setting. Self-motivation. Influencing skills. Relationship building.
- Keen to learn and takes responsibility for personal development.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Evidence of working with multiple markets/regions outside the UK
