The Role:
- Based in Seoul, we are currently recruiting the following role on a Local basis (the Client is not sponsoring Visas)
- The role of Territory Manager will be responsible for the development of relationships within the Korean Market. The Client has established relationships within the Asia region, currently operating from offices in Singapore.
- With a focus on continued expansion, this position will involve developing long term relationships with customers in the Industrial Printing & Packaging Industry in Korea, specifically focussing in on the Seoul market initially.
- This is s standalone role in Korea and as such the successful individual will manage each element of the sales cycle, from initial contact through the proposal process to Contract Win. Therefore it will suit an individual who is re it is sufficiently robust to sustain targeted growth rates. Manage and utilize all aspects of the sales process.
- Within the wider Region, the role will be fully supported by the Marketing Department, (to understand market trends, competitive products and pricing) and with the Regional Commercial Director to plan and develop strategic direction of sales efforts, inventory management, invoicing, forecasting, pricing and volume discounts to ensure customer needs are met.
- Key Deliverables for the role will be the growth, development of new business opportunities and maintain customer satisfaction. This involves managing distribution channels and key accounts.

A leading international American printing and packaging company that specializes in coatings, packaging engineering and printing process.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Fluent Korean & English (Written & Verbal)
* 10+ years' business development experience in industrial printing and packaging as well as well as knowledge of resins/ polymers/additives
* Strong knowledge of Korean printing and packaging market and customer base.
* Sales / Business Development background with a proven track record of sales growth in a territory or industry segment within Korea
* Bachelor's degree in a science related field, e.g.: biology or chemistry; advanced business degree preferred
* Experience in commercializing and launching new products.
* Strong chemistry knowledge with experience selling to specialty chemical or flexible packaging customers
* Experience in working with cross functional teams to drive new sales and revenue growth
* Experience in managing distribution channels in the assigned territorial coverage

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Demonstrate high levels of self-motivation, initiative, interpersonal skills, and a true "hunter" personality
* Excellent problem solving, organizational, and prioritization skills
* Proficient in standard business office software
* Ability to quickly learn and use specialized business software (Company business intelligence, sales and marketing software)
* Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills
* Able to perform financial calculations, create and manage budgets
* Ability to quickly achieve a thorough knowledge of company products and their usage
